RoxClimbs integration

Bring Apple Health into your climbing logbook

Apple Watch fills Apple Health with exactly the signals climbing training needs: sleep, HRV, heart rate, workouts. RoxClimbs reads them beside your climbing logbook, through a bridge you control. Apple Health sync is in beta.

Free. Wearable sync is in beta: create your account, then apply from Settings, Connections.

How the bridge works.

Apple does not offer a server API for Health data, so RoxClimbs syncs through Health Auto Export, an independent iPhone app with a small one-time purchase for its REST automation. You point it at your personal RoxClimbs address, choose what to send, and your iPhone does the sending. Because automations run when the phone is unlocked, arrivals can be bursty rather than instant, and the app shows you plainly when data is fresh and when it is not.

What lands where.

Sleep, HRV, heart rate, steps and workouts arrive into the same Body view and daily check-in as every other provider. Beside them sits the climbing logbook: sends synced from theCrag or imported from Mountain Project, gym sessions logged by grade in seconds, projects built from attempts, goals moved by real climbing.

Yours, and reversible.

The sync token is yours to rotate or revoke, health data never enters analytics and is never sold, and deleting imported data is a deliberate action in settings. Beta spots are limited; apply inside the app.

FAQ

Questions climbers ask

Do I need to buy anything?

Health Auto Export's REST automation is a small one-time purchase in its own app. RoxClimbs itself is free. The two are independent, and RoxClimbs is not affiliated with Apple or Health Auto Export.

Why not a direct Apple integration?

Apple only exposes Health data on the device, not to web apps. The bridge is the workable path, and the page you are reading says so rather than pretending otherwise.

Do I need an Apple Watch to use RoxClimbs?

No. The climbing logbook, projects, goals and training all work without one.

How do I get into the beta?

Create a free account, then apply from Settings, Connections. Access is granted per user while the beta is limited.
