RoxClimbs integration

A climbing app that reads your Garmin

Your watch already knows how you slept and how hard you trained. RoxClimbs puts that next to your climbing logbook, so training days answer to how ready you actually are. Garmin sync is in beta.

Free. Wearable sync is in beta: create your account, then apply from Settings, Connections.

What your watch adds.

With Garmin connected, RoxClimbs reads sleep, HRV trends, readiness and training load, with optional cycle context. The daily check-in tells you whether today looks like a day to try hard or a day to move easy, and when signals are stale it says so instead of guessing. Runners have trained this way for a decade; climbing mostly has not.

The logbook stays the engine.

None of this replaces the climbing logbook, it feeds it. Your ascents sync from theCrag, import from Mountain Project or a spreadsheet, or log by hand in seconds. Attempts build projects, sends move goals, and the weekly review reads your climbing and training together. Garmin adds the recovery half of that picture: what your body brought to each session.

The beta, plainly.

Garmin's partner API is closed to new applications, so the beta syncs through a community-maintained connection and the app tells you exactly that before you connect. Credentials are encrypted, health data never enters analytics, and disconnecting stops sync immediately. Beta spots are limited; apply inside the app.

FAQ

Questions climbers ask

Do I need a Garmin to use RoxClimbs?

No. The whole app, climbing logbook, projects, goals and training, works without any watch. Garmin adds recovery context on top.

How do I get into the beta?

Create a free account, then apply from Settings, Connections. Access is granted per user while the beta is limited.

What Garmin data does it read?

Sleep, HRV, readiness, training load and activities, with optional menstrual-cycle context. Nothing is sold and nothing enters analytics.

What happens if I disconnect?

Sync stops immediately. Deleting already-imported data is a separate deliberate action in settings, so you stay in control of both.
