- 1. Warm-up (10 min) Pulse-raiser, joint circles, 2-3 easy climbs at a relaxed pace.
- 2. Silent feet — 4 easy climbs Climb well below your limit with ONE rule: your feet make no sound. Loud feet = imprecise feet. Slow down until every placement is deliberate and quiet.
- 3. First-touch rule — 4 easy climbs Each foot placement is decided BEFORE the foot moves and lands exactly once — no readjusting, no tapping. If you readjust, that climb restarts its count.
- 4. Downclimb finisher — 2-3 climbs Climb up easy terrain, then downclimb it. Downclimbing forces you to actually look at footholds and builds the balance library faster than anything.
- 5. Keep it easy Everything in this session stays 2+ grades below your best — technique is only learnable when you're not fighting for survival. This session earns grades later without feeling like training now.
